ABOUT US
We’re a brother and sister duo in our twenties who completely fell in love with Japan — especially Tokyo. Over the years we’ve spent here, we’ve built our own little black book of unique spots, hidden gems, and unforgettable experiences. Now, we want to share it with you, to help more people step off the beaten path and discover one of the world’s most visited cities from a fresh, more local, and truly memorable perspective.

TIPS for Tokyo
💳 Get a Suica or Pasmo Card
Buy a prepaid IC card at the airport or any major station to ride trains
📱 Order a SIM Card or Pocket Wi-Fi in Advance "Airalo, Ubigi"
📶 Download Essential Apps
Google Maps: for train routes & walking
Google Translate: with camera scan feature
🚉 Avoid Rush Hour on Trains (7:30–9:30 AM & 5–7 PM)
Trains get packed — plan sightseeing outside those hours if possible.
📷 Respect Photography Rules
Some shrines, museums, and stores don’t allow photos — look for the signs.
♻️ Trash Bins Are Rare — Carry Your Trash Until You Find One
Convenience stores usually have them outside.
🚶 Walk on the Left (usually)
Especially on escalators in Tokyo
📅 Check for Local Events & Holidays
Golden Week, Obon, and New Year can affect transport and store hours.
🔋 Power banks & chargers sold at konbini (convenience stores)
Lost or forgot yours? Lawson, FamilyMart, and 7-Eleven often sell portable chargers and USB cables near the counter.
🧳 Coin lockers are everywhere
Train stations, malls, even parks — use coin lockers to store bags for a few hours. Most accept Suica/Pasmo cards
💧 Vending machines are everywhere
You’ll never go thirsty. Look for the blue (cold) and red (hot) labels on buttons.
💳 Not everywhere takes credit cards — always carry some cash
While most cities are card-friendly, small shops, shrines, and countryside spots may be cash only.
🎟️ Buy tickets in advance for popular attractions
Like Ghibli Museum, TeamLab Planets, Shibuya Sky, etc. They often sell out weeks ahead
